Harvey and the Hurricanes

 

Biography

 The Hurricanes are a Western NY based blues/classic rock band led by the veteran bassist and vocalist “Hurricane Harvey” Murello. The basic core group is a high energy trio now featuring the hot guitarist, vocalist Paul Iannello and the rock solid in the pocket drumming of Paul Siwula.

On special occasions, the group will also feature Buffalo Music Hall of Fame guitarist, vocalist and songwriter John Brady; guitarist, vocalist Tony Marcolini (Big Tobacco); guitarist, vocalist Dr. Z; and keyboardist Brent Minet from Brent and the Accutones depending on the venue or event.

The Hurricanes are mainstay performers at the Seneca Niagara and Seneca Allegany Casinos. They perform regularly at many special events and festivals including the Fredonia Red White and Blues Festival and charity fund raisers including events for the Food Bank of WNY, Variety Club and others. Regular club performances include: Dock of the Bay, Double D’s, Balloons in Ellicottville, Four Aces, Crazy Jakes, Hamburg Casino, Mr. Goodbar, Wegmans Cafe and Lebros to name a few.

One of the highlights for 2008 was the Hurricanes opening for Leon Russell in Buffalo on May 30 to a packed house at the Lafayette Tap Room. Members of Leon’s band played on stage with the Hurricanes until nearly 3am capping a fun night for all.
